The Purification Process
Oxidation:
Ozone, when introduced into the atmosphere in low levels is an excellent air purifier. Ozone in itself is an unstable three-part molecule of oxygen. When an ozone molecule contacts a pollutant, it attaches itself to it and changes its molecular structure in most cases to carbon dioxide and hydrogen. By destroying viruses, bacteria and other microbial contaminants, the source of the odor is eliminated and the odor does not return.
Ozone destroys the contaminant molecule, it does not mask it as other methods do.
Ozone treats all of the air, not just the air that is pulled into it as do
the vast majority of electronic filters that are on the market today.
Ozone residual will revert back to pure oxygen, making it environmentally friendly.
How does it work?
The air purification units create ozone by taking the part of the air we breathe and passing an electrical charge across it. The O2 molecules are split to O1 molecules, which then recombine to form the O3
ozone molecule. This process has been in use for close to 100 years, primarily in water treatment. Many major cities use ozone today, the largest in the world being Dallas, Texas.
Ionization:
Units contain the ION generator which produces negative ions often referred to as the "thunderstorm effect". These negative ions restore a "natural balance" by combining with positively charged ions which are part of the pollutants in indoor air, making them to heavy to remain airborne, thus resulting in overall cleaner air.
Residential and commercial system treats from 1,500 to 5,000 square feet
Specifications: Output:Up to and including 5,000 square foot areas Amperage:0.35 Fusing, 1 amp slow-blow

Note:
Ozone is a powerful oxidant and should be operated in accordance with instructions in the operation manual. Ozone is not a carcinogen.
